Paarl Rock offers two rare climbing opportunities for South Africa - multi-pitch sport AND Granite rock.

Experience the exhilaration of climbing pitch on top of pitch of granite at one of the few locations in South Africa. Located 1hr outside of Cape Town, Paarl Rock overlooks the Cape Winelands and offers a multitude of multi-pitch sport climbing on perfect granite.

Due to the nature of the belay stances, we prefer to restrict the climbing party to 2 persons per guide.

  • Max 2 per guide
  • Equipment if needed
  • Permits where required
  • Transport (from our offices in the City Center)

What to bring:

  • Comfortable gym wear and hiking/running shoes
  • A fleece/pullover
  • A water bottle and some energy snacks, sunscreen.
