"Ease"

When we talk about "ease" we are referring to how easy the adventure is to fascilitate. It is important to NOTE that rock climbing by nature can vary in the technical grade difficulty immensly, even at the same venue. This description is meant as an indication of how easy it is to get to and from the rock. Once we are at the rock, there will be various technical difficulties to choose from.
For example an "Easy" adventure which is suitable for advanced/experienced persons means that it is easy to fascilitate but that the actual rock climbing is very difficult.

Easy: Suitable for every member of the family
Moderate: Suitable for all physically fit people
Hard: Long length, substantial elevation gain, and/or difficult terrain. Suitable for more experienced hikers/climbers or very fit people.
Strenuous: Full day’s hike over a long and often difficult route. Suitable for only experienced hikers in excellent physical condition.

Experience Level

We try to match the adventure to your level. Obviously a climb which is suitable to a novice, will be suitable for an experienced climber as well, if that is what they are after (or accompanying a novice friend. But the reverse is not true and an route more suited to skilled climbers is often very unpleasant (and dangerous for everyone) for the novice.

Novice: Never climbed before (indoors or outdoors)
Beginner: Climbed before. Often this means that you climb in a gym but not outside
Intermediate: Climbed indoors and/or outdoors before. Often this means that you lead-climb sport routes but not traditional routes
Experienced: Lead-Climbed extensivly outdoors. Implies a familiarity of traditional climbing.

Exposure

Exposure is a climbing and hiking term. Sections of a hiking path or climbing route are described as "exposed" if there is a high risk of injury in the event of a fall because of the steepness of the terrain. If such routes are negotiated without any protection, a false step can result in a serious fall.
