The purer, mountaineer's ascent. This option starts at the bottom and hikes, scrambles and Rock Climbs 700m to the top of Table Mountain!

The Integral Ascent combines rock climbing on the lower sections (buttresses) with the classic top rock band, all in one outing which is more like really climbing Table Mountain! Our most popular rock climbing tour on Table Mountain giving you the best of everything.

This option starts on the North Facing slopes and requires an early (sunrise) start to avoid sunburn/heat stroke. The tour consists of:

  • Hiking 45min to the start of the first climbing
  • Rock climb (multi Pitch) 3 pitches (various grade options)
  • Hike (off-path) to join the middle section of the popular India Venster Trail
  • Continue around the West Face via India Venster
  • Climb to the summit (multi-pitch) via 3-4 pitches.

Cable Car Tickets where needed and weather dependant. On occasion, this may only be one-way (up/down).

Equipment Provided:

- Climbing Shoes | Helmet | Harness

We do recommend bringing your own climbing shoes, as these are quite personal items.

What to bring:

  • Comfortable gym wear and hiking/running shoes.
  • A fleece/pullover
  • A water bottle and some energy snacks, sunscreen.

Guests or Spectators

Non-paying guests are not allowed to join the group No alcoholic beverages can be brought along the tour

Notes:

The time includes a return cable-car ride however in-season waits may add as much as an hour to this time - for this reason it may be better to meet the guide at the Cable Car as the guide will get to the queue early to secure a place at the front of the queue. Likewise, should the cable car be closed due to weather and a hiking approach is needed, an hour and a half could be added (and in summer an earlier start is needed to avoid the sun).
